Dear Friends –
I’m excited to announce that after careful consideration and serious discussions with my family, I have decided to run for State Senate in the 28th Legislative District.
This was not a decision I made lightly. However, many of you know me as someone who steps up in times of need and rolls up my sleeves to help our communities. Our region is hurting right now, and it’s time for each of us to assess how we can best serve. For me, this means taking my years of public service, community involvement, and fighting for change to the legislature.
Like you, I believe our elected officials should protect our workers, provide health care for families, work to keep our communities safe, and tackle our region’s housing affordability crisis. We deserve more from our current representation in the State Senate. The 28th District deserves a State Senator who will be their voice in Olympia.
Education is my passion. For nearly two decades I have taught, mentored, and coached our youth – to prepare them not only for school, but also for their careers. On the University Place School Board, I have worked to make sure every voice is heard and every child succeeds. My experience on the PTA has prepared me to push our School Board to improve engagement with community members and parents. I know the struggles of parents in our district because I also have three children in public schools. The parents and students throughout the 28th need an advocate fighting for them in Olympia and I will be the voice they need.
Because of the coronavirus outbreak, we will not be holding any in-person events for some time. But, there are other ways you can help our campaign today. This will be an extremely competitive race so funds are critical to our success.
If you cannot make a contribution today, you can endorse our campaign or sign up to volunteer. A couple of hours of your time is equally valuable to the campaign. We have activities you can do from the comfort of your home right now, so feel free to sign up on our website: www.twinanobles.com.
I look forward to chatting with you on the phone and via email in the coming months. Please reach out to me directly if you’d like to help the campaign or if you have any questions I can answer.
Thank you for your early support.
