Thank you to our members for designing our donation box! Also, thank you to the many donors such as Darcy Nelson (pictured above with Ladies First Co-Founder T’wina Franklin). Small Purse…BIG CHANGE! Help us raise new and gently used purses to be auctioned off at the Fund for Women & Girls’ Annual Power of the Purse Fundraiser Luncheon on March 8. The luncheon is an opportunity for our community to show our support and ensure that all women and girls in Pierce County-no matter their circumstance-are empowered to achieve their dreams. This year’s Purse Drive is the chosen service project of our middle school and high school Ladies First members. We have the honor of partnering with Tacoma Urban League’s Girls With Purpose mentoring program.
Many of you (or others you know) have purses. You can help us by bringing a purse to Stadium High School before January 31, 2016.
The condition of the purse should be new or gently used and we need all kinds of purses: professional, casual, handcrafted, whimsical, large, small, colorful or subdued. The condition is important. While the committee can spruce up some leather handbags, they do not have teh talent to repair or refresh very used purses. We are requesting donations you yourself would be will to carry. 🙂
If it is easier for us to pick-up your donation, please email us at Ladies1stOrg@gmail.com. Thank you.
