In the spirit of the National Urban League Young Professionals, this scholarship is intended to help prepare a new generation of young leaders to take the mantle of leadership of the civil rights movement and will be awarded to a student of color enrolled at Clover Park Technical College (CPTC) or Tacoma Community College (TCC), between the ages of 20-40, and interested in taking an active leadership role in their local community.

The CPTC and TCC Foundations have partnered with the Tacoma Urban League to provide a $5,000 scholarship for two CPTC and two TCC students starting this Winter Quarter. Funding is provided by the CPTC and TCC Foundations and matching funds through the Tacoma Urban League.
