Billion Dollar Business Mindset

Happy National Small Business week! ✨Today I presented at the 7th Annual South Sound Business Summit.

Paul Long coordinated a very informative event that was a great value (only $25 for 10 speakers) and packed with important information about business finance, marketing, values, legacy, sales, mindset, and so much more.

My talk focused on my 2016 TEDx Talk, small business experience, success raising $17.8M in less than five years (2018-2021), as well as my experience on the 2nd season of Discovery Channel’s Undercover Billionaire.

Please let me know if you’d like me to present at your conference or gathering that supports, encourages, or informs small businesses. ♥️

My slide deck is below. I want to send a special thank you to Monique Idlett (the Tacoma contestant of Undercover Billionaire Season 2) for contributing to my presentation.

The pipelines for female leaders seems to be widening. Women have made significant gains in educational attainment in recent decades, better positioning ourselves not only for career success but also for leadership positions.

Many people do not, but by hiring a diverse team of qualified men, women and non-binary people, you can experience benefits such as increased employee engagement and creativity. Women can bring unique experiences to the table; use these experiences to boost productivity and motivation levels.

50 percent of the world still needs higher representation: women make for nearly 50 percent of the world’s population. For a more balanced workplace, women need to be represented equally, too. Actually, we need to have equal representation in the larger scheme of things everywhere.

Woman are educators. Education is the key to any community’s growth and development – and this starts within. Women in leadership leads to mentorship, more involvement from younger women and girls in the community, and many other important benefits.

Women are disproportionately tasked, in community and business development, with the role of caretakers and role models. Women are undoubtedly more often caretakers to young children and often take the lead in helping the family adapt to different changing circumstances. Because women are tasked with caretaking of both children and even the elderly, women play a big vital in serving as role models of these children. Every single thing women do is seen by these little ones in the community.

Women also play a big role in fighting for the rights of the members of the community. Although in the past (and sometimes presently) women were viewed as weak, they have come a long way in proving strength in every way and on every platform. In fact, it’s the participation of women on the frontlines, when it comes to fighting for equality in terms of pay and opportunities, that has led to significant community development.

Invest in women. Support women leaders and entrepreneurs. Watch the world change. ♥️
